Describe Your Beloved Cold-Weather Stroll in the United Kingdom

The satisfying crunch of ice beneath your feet, deep breaths of fresh, crisp air, and scenery sparkling in sunlight—a good winter walk is a genuine joy. We’re eager to hear about the locations you love to explore at this time of year in the United Kingdom. Perhaps an energizing seaside route, a winding woodland hike, or a peaceful riverside trail. Should there be a charming eatery en route, so much the nicer!

Contest Information

The winning entry each week receives a £200 voucher redeemable at a unique property available through an international portfolio of over 3,000 unusual places.

Restrict your suggestion to about one hundred words.

If you have an appropriate image, feel free to include it—but it’s your words that are the focus in this contest.

Unfortunately, but for legal reasons, you must be a resident of the United Kingdom to participate.

The competition closes on Friday 5 December at 10 in the morning GMT.
